Le tracklisting de son album a quelque peu été modifié depuis sa dernière parution étant donné que certains featurings ont été changés. Alicia Keys a remplacé Nas sur la chanson « Empire State of Mind » et J. Cole fait son apparition. Pour le reste, le tracklisting initial reste inchangé, on aura toujours affaire à Rihanna et Kanye West sur « Run This Town » -premier single de l’album-, Kid Cudi, Drake, Pharrell, Young Jeezy et Swizz Beatz pour ne citer qu’eux…

Rappelons que The Blueprint 3 est censé sortir le 11 Septembre 2009, soit à peu près huit ans après la sortie du premier album de la trilogie « Blueprint ».
